All of a sudden screen is black and white with horz. and Vert. lines. and
faint pictute on all channels. Heard something loose inside like a coin rolling around when moving to shop.Opened it up and small 100-01A/A171N watch battery shaped disc.came un-solered from its pins near the degauss.Is this a diode? I dis-charged the 200V cap already.Last summer took a hard lightning hit and tv went multi-color but recovered until now.Thanks |

That's probably a thermister.

Clean the sides of the old thermistor with a bit of liquid flux an re-solder
it to the existing leads. Should help clear up the mixed colour problems. If you discarded the part just go to an RCA service shop and purchase another and install it. "mark" wrote in message ...
