NEC Accusync Monitor 120 21" Loss of Red

Loss of red with dominant green tint; some red for about 3" on the left of
the screen; red fades moving to the right.

When problem began the color balance was normal for up to 15 minutes from
startup before the red faded. Now, no red on startup. All menu color
adjustments fail to correct.

Can anyone suggest the diagnosis and fix ?

The performance of the colour amp stages should be properly checked. This is
done by using a scope to see if the signal levels are correct, and also
using a volt meter check the supply voltages, and bias voltages to the CRT.

Generally speaking, according to your description, a common cause of this
type of failure is usually the CRT.
