Eimac 2X1000A high power rectifier tubes
I just found a couple of these. Does anyone have specs? They must be
useful for something besides a museum. Thanks. --- sam | Sci.Electronics.Repair FAQ Mirror: http://repairfaq.ece.drexel.edu/ Repair | Main Table of Contents: http://repairfaq.ece.drexel.edu/REPAIR/ +Lasers | Sam's Laser FAQ: http://repairfaq.ece.drexel.edu/sam/lasersam.htm | Mirror Sites: http://repairfaq.ece.drexel.edu/REPAIR/F_mirror.html Note: These links are hopefully temporary until we can sort out the excessive traffic on Repairfaq.org. Does anyone have specs? smartass There is an excellent chance that your question has come up and resulted in information being passed back and forth on sci.electronics.repair (or other appropriate newsgroup). /smartass http://groups.google.co.uk/groups?se... utput=gplain Matt Roberds |

Sir SAMuel :
How about interim use as a pair of bedside lamps....or probably more impressive...as side pillar mounts for your desk nameplate. I once did that with an array of KU band Microwave "plumbing" BTW is it appreciably taller that its small brother counterpart....the 450 ? http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...ayphotohosting 73's de Edd |

The entire section surrounding the plate is a massive finned heatsink with a cap on top. It looks more like one of those coaxial metal-ceramic tubes, but with a glass envelope instead and 4 pin base like the one above. From memory, it's only about 7 or 8 inches high. If I get a chance, I'll take a pic. I powered the filament and tested it with a low voltage AC source. It works but definitely not impressive as the glow of the cathode is totally hidden so it doesn't even make a good desk lamp. 3-1000Zs work better as light bulbs. ;-) The side pillars might be an idea. These are built sturdy. --- sam | Sci.Electronics.Repair FAQ Mirror: http://repairfaq.ece.drexel.edu/ Repair | Main Table of Contents: http://repairfaq.ece.drexel.edu/REPAIR/ +Lasers | Sam's Laser FAQ: http://repairfaq.ece.drexel.edu/sam/lasersam.htm | Mirror Sites: http://repairfaq.ece.drexel.edu/REPAIR/F_mirror.html Note: These links are hopefully temporary until we can sort out the excessive traffic on Repairfaq.org.
