Hi,

I have been working on an RFID project that uses a power booster from a
Melexis cookbook.

I have attached the schematic of the booster.

I don't understand the circuit. For a 9V power supply (to the top of L3) the
gain is about *2, for a 12V power supply the gain is about *12.

Any help on how this works would be appreciated.
