Now all you need in the picture is a Voltswagon pulling a mobile ohm.

Sorry, don't currently have the capacity to resist.

Yup. On the western slope of the Sierras, annual snowfall is commonly
over 500 inches. The record for one day is 67 inches. Over some of the
railroad tracks they build wooden tunnels, "snow sheds".

A Day in the Life of Joe Republican
(written by John Gray)

Joe gets up at 6 a.m. and fills his coffeepot with water to prepare his
morning coffee. The water is clean and good because some tree-hugging
liberal fought for minimum water-quality standards. With his first
swallow of water, he takes his daily medication. His medications are
safe to take because some stupid commie liberal fought to ensure their
safety and that they work as advertised. All but $10 of his medications
are paid for by his employer's medical plan because some liberal union
workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance - now Joe gets
it too. He prepares his morning breakfast, bacon and eggs. Joe's bacon
is safe to eat because some girly-man liberal fought for laws to
regulate the meat packing industry. In the morning shower, Joe reaches
for his shampoo. His bottle is properly labeled with each ingredient and
its amount in the total contents because some crybaby liberal fought for
his right to know what he was putting on his body and how much it contained.

Joe dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air he breathes
is clean because some environmentalist wacko liberal fought for the laws
to stop industries from polluting our air. He walks on the
government-provided sidewalk to subway station for his
government-subsidized ride to work. It saves him considerable money in
parking and transportation fees because some fancy-pants liberal fought
for affordable public transportation, which gives everyone the
opportunity to be a contributor. Joe begins his work day. He has a good
job with excellent pay, medical benefits, retirement, paid holidays and
vacation because some lazy liberal union members fought and died for
these working standards. Joe's employer pays these standards because
Joe's employer doesn't want his employees to call the union. If Joe is
hurt on the job or becomes unemployed, he'll get a worker compensation
or unemployment check because some stupid liberal didn't think he should
lose his home because of his temporary misfortune.

It is noontime and Joe needs to make a bank deposit so he can pay some
bills. Joe's deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some
godless liberal wanted to protect Joe's money from unscrupulous bankers
who ruined the banking system before the Great Depression. Joe has to
pay his Fannie Mae-underwritten mortgage and his below-market federal
student loan because some elitist liberal decided that Joe and the
government would be better off if he was educated and earned more money
over his lifetime. Joe also forgets that his in addition to his
federally subsidized student loans, he attended a state funded university.

Joe is home from work. He plans to visit his father this evening at his
farm home in the country. He gets in his car for the drive. His car is
among the safest in the world because some America-hating liberal fought
for car safety standards to go along with the tax-payer funded roads. He
arrives at his boyhood home. His was the third generation to live in the
house financed by Farmers' Home Administration because bankers didn't
want to make rural loans. The house didn't have electricity until some
big-government liberal stuck his nose where it didn't belong and
demanded rural electrification. He is happy to see his father, who is
now retired. His father lives on Social Security and a union pension
because some wine-drinking, cheese-eating liberal made sure he could
take care of himself so Joe wouldn't have to.

Joe gets back in his car for the ride home, and turns on a radio talk
show. The radio host keeps saying that liberals are bad and
conservatives are good. He doesn't mention that the beloved Republicans
have fought against every protection and benefit Joe enjoys throughout
his day.

Joe agrees: "We don't need those big-government liberals ruining our
lives! After all, I'm a self-made man who believes everyone should take
care of themselves, just like I have."

Nope. Because a well-educated chemist, daughter of a right-wing
conservative, looks after the water safety of everyone, including
leftist weenies. (MY daughter, BTW, runs the Phoenix water safety
laboratories.)

I could dispute all your claims, but why should I bother. It's pretty
clear that every successful entrepreneur has to be conservative to
survive.

American English usage has many irregularly declined nouns
For example, Democrat is the pluperfect form of ignoramus

Nonsense. All that blather is ignoring The Henry Effect.

Henry Ford tripled wages and reduced hours before there were auto
unions. Henry Kaiser provided free health care to his non-union
employees. Unions and socialists love to take credit for things they
could not have created. And I bet you don't understand why.

And who was the greatest conservationist President? What party did he
belong to?

It's that kind of delusional stupidity that makes liberals wholly
incompetent to serve in any public office.

Even President Clinton acknowledges it was the Democrats who blocked
any and all regulatory reform of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac that the
Republicans repeatedly tried to pass. Of course, he doesn't mention
his own contribution in pressing for the bad loans and appointing his
former budget director, Franklin D. Raines, who cooked the books.

http://newsmediaexposed.com/2008/09/...eo-get-played/

The Dems laid out a great opportunity for Wall Street. The Dems
pressed for 100% LTV and got it. Wall Street figured out ways to
re-package loans that Fannie and Freddie guaranteed and said were
100% safe. If you were doing loans you had 2 options, either get
into the sub-prime business or have Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton
bring in lawyers claiming you were red lining. Easier to just give
the sub-prime loan and sell the paper - Fannie and Freddie guaranteed
it was good.

Seems to me that since the Dems took over in 2006 the economy has
really gone into the ****ter....

The lethal deregulation happened in 1999. Bill Clinton signed it. Dems
(Obama, Frank, ACORN) then blackmailed the banks into making
"affordable" loans to people who couldn't afford them. Bush and McCain
both warned that this was dangerous.

Whan have the Dems ever cared about the SS time-bomb? They have
blocked allowing people to actually invest part of their SS
withholding. The reason is, of course, that they want to spend 100% of
it, now, and ignore the liabilities.

doesn't want his employees to call the union. If Joe is hurt on the job or
becomes unemployed, he'll get a worker compensation or unemployment check
because some stupid liberal didn't think he should lose his home because
of his temporary misfortune.

It is noontime and Joe needs to make a bank deposit so he can pay some
bills. Joe's deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some
godless liberal wanted to protect Joe's money from unscrupulous bankers
who ruined the banking system before the Great Depression. Joe has to pay
his Fannie Mae-underwritten mortgage and his below-market federal student
loan because some elitist liberal decided that Joe and the government
would be better off if he was educated and earned more money over his
lifetime. Joe also forgets that his in addition to his federally
subsidized student loans, he attended a state funded university.

Joe is home from work. He plans to visit his father this evening at his
farm home in the country. He gets in his car for the drive. His car is
among the safest in the world because some America-hating liberal fought
for car safety standards to go along with the tax-payer funded roads. He
arrives at his boyhood home. His was the third generation to live in the
house financed by Farmers' Home Administration because bankers didn't want
to make rural loans. The house didn't have electricity until some
big-government liberal stuck his nose where it didn't belong and demanded
rural electrification. He is happy to see his father, who is now retired.
His father lives on Social Security and a union pension because some
wine-drinking, cheese-eating liberal made sure he could take care of
himself so Joe wouldn't have to.

Joe gets back in his car for the ride home, and turns on a radio talk
show. The radio host keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives
are good.

In the UK, Conservatives are AKA Tories - the word Tory comes from the
Gallic word Toraidhe (pronounced Toorayhe) which means bandit or robber.

I heard yours are going to ban bicycles to stop poor people getting to the
voting booths!

Nope. Because a well-educated chemist, daughter of a right-wing

A post that wouldn't exist in the first place but for the leftist weenie BS.

Republicans are certainly trying to suppress the votes of several
classes...

Illegal alien voters

Non-citizen voters

Multiply registered voters

Imprisoned voters

Disqualified felon voters

Illegally registered voters

Dead voters

all of whom, remarkably, tend to vote Democrat.

They've been working on it for a lot longer than that and with a
broader scope as well. Like destroying most practical means of
domestic energy production.

I especially love how they do that for 30 years, and now deride the proposed
solutions because they will allegedly take 10 years to have an effect.

(I know, the effect will start immediately because of the Arab's reaction to
our drilling. Just another example of the Dem's belief in a static market.)

Dems go into hiding any time proof is shoved into their face. The
registration form of "Mickey Mouse", submitted by ACORN, made the
newspapers.

We shouldn't allow "paid" circulators. When I first registered to
vote, 57 years ago, it was done by a little-old-lady who _lived_ in my
neighborhood, and knew everyone.

Talk radio? What are you smoking? The one turned in had their
stamp on it, not a note saying it was suspect. It has happened in
multiple cities & states as well. it is an attempt to overload the
workers who have to verify every registration.

You left out 'Cartoon Characters'.

Where's MooseFET to tell us that this is just something we heard from
Limbaugh?

And you dopes actually think Mickey Mouse is going to show up
at the polls and try to vote.

Yes, and the people at the polling place, being of the same demographic,
would have taken it.

It was ACORN who turned the
people in who were summitting false registrations. Educate
yourself instead of listening to talk radio claptrap.

Talk radio?

See? If it wasn't MooseFET then it's another one. Nothing they disagree
with could have come from an authoritative source.
