That's nice that you contributed to help the unfortunate. But again your
analogy to your fly fishing trip is not a good one. You choose to take the
trip and have the resources to prepare for any eventuality. That's hardly
the situation the poor in N.O. faced is it? They knew only that a storm was
coming and they were told to leave. If they had your resources and brains
they would have acted differently, but they didn't.

You can bet all those people had televisions.
Everyone in the country watched that monster moving toward the
coastline for a week. It's size was breathtaking, the weathercasters
were in Red Alert Rhetoric mode. Even Helen Keller would have been aware
of it.

Accordingly, they acted
as you would expect them too. Many cattle and other livestock were killed
too. Expecting them to have taken steps to avoid their demise is not much
different than what you expected from the lowest class in L.A.

The poor are equivalent to cattle?

You can't
blame people for being stupid any more than you can blame them for being
short. You need to develop more understanding of the less fortunate.

I understand that people who embrace Darwin's Theory of Evolution can't
seem to grasp his "survival of the fittest" corrolary.
