I am repairing a la-1831jmw-bk rev a2. Everything hardware wise tests out
fine. It briefly comes on, you can see what the computer is trying to
display for
about 5 or 10 seconds, then it says it cannot detect what is being displayed
(NO SIGNAL) and it clicks off. You can turn in on again, and it does the
same thing.

If it is a non-supported resolution issue, and if you are using
Windows, then boot your machine in safe mode. R-click on the desktop
and set the display properties to a safe resolution such as 640 x 480
and 16 or 256 colours. Then reboot your machine in normal mode and use
the same procedure to progressively select a more appropriate
resolution and refresh rate.
