Table - went to 2 B and Q stores - they stopped selling table legs in one
and don't sell them in the other - Homebase had some but they were not as
good as the ones B and Q had. B and Q website is sold out of the ones I
wanted!

In the end I modified my current desk - turned all the wood over - so it
looks news - hehe.
Removed the printer shelf and used the runners on that to replace the ones
on my knackered keyboard shelf (luckily they were exactly the same even
tho the printer shelf was like half the size) - didn;t even relise about
that until I was taking the table apart (never used the printer bit) - so
ended up with a new looking useable desk!

Floorboards - massive hassle of taking the carpet up while leaving the bed
and wardrobe in, in my tiny room.

I screwed in 2 screws per end and everything feels pretty solid - still 1
or 2 creks but much better than before - that one dodgy board I had was
not even screwed in on one side, hence why it was not feeling right.

That said, the floor is not totally flat as soem boards are slighty bumpy
or higher than other or whatnot - but it's better than having to buy all
new bards.... it's weird how they are all different lengths as well - some
half the length of others and some even thinner, so no apaprent reason...

I only took one board off (the loose one) but could work out where the
supporting wood was underneath as they were marked quite clearly by
'holders' holidng the boards into place at every end.

Chucked on a bit of talcum powder for good measure on one part that was
extremley creaky....

There's ingenuity - all of it!

Well done. A wo/man after my own heart.
