That looks like 1" x 4 or 5" (possibly 6") I wouldn't worry to much
about it. Ever try to bend a piece of 1" x 4"? It's pretty strong. I
admit that it's not the best piece of steel for the job but I don't
think it'll bend before he breaks his bolts.
