It somehow works out to be "Airline Travel Approved" or something like that.

Airlines won't be responsible for delicate items checked as baggage,
like guitars or test instruments, unless they're in a proper case. Blow
molded and standard fiberboard instrument cases aren't usually acceptable.

Sometimes, a flight crew will let you stick guitars in the passenger
deck closets, but you can't count on it.
