This has all the charm of the Compaq-HP merger. Whirlpool is
overpaying paying for more or less the same lineup of products. If
Maytag couldn't compete with Whirlpool in the first place why would
anyone believe that Whirlpool will vamp up Maytag's line to be better
than W's lineup? It looks more like a means of eliminating a
competitor (M) to improve market share.
