I just finished making a Feltmate/Oland tool (my trademark!grin).
Got maybe $5 or $8 in the whole deal. Works great! AND you can make
them any size you need (within reason of course).

the one I made is using a 1/4" HSS tool-bit from Enco (currently on
sale for less than a dollar I believe). Ground a 45deg relief angle,
then kinda pointed/rounded it off. Put it into the end of a piece of
5/8" CRS from the local hardware store. You can stop there or "get
fancy" by adding a wooden -handle.

It is really pretty amazing
