Toyota have put an "E" in front of CVT, to differentiate it from

So a power constantly variable transmission?

Yep.

Are you coming round to the
truth at last?

The truth was always there.

You've realised that a box with
gears in it is a gearbox,

and you don't

and that a transmission which
varies the ratio is a CVT?

and you don't.

The term "power splitter" is semi-apt as that is what it does, but its
prime function is to "combine" power from two differnt souces, rather
than split it.

And the generator fits in just where, since it's not a source of power?
But driven from the CVT?

There is no CVT
