I'm sorry you've had some problems with quality control. If 1 in 100
disks has a scratch on it, the chance of renting two disks and having
them both scratched (although you do note that the second one played in
another player) is about 1 in 10,000.

On the other hand, given a large enough customer base, if the chance of
something happening is 1 in 10,000, it will happen sooner or later.
