Yabbut.... at those prices, you don't need to sell more than a handful of
pieces a year to make a pretty decent living...

OTOH, did you observe the amount of time that went into these pieces, on
spec? Apparently, he has other means of support. If he makes a set every
couple years, he isn't getting rich by woodworking.
