Well it is quite an interesting thing, you may have heard of cotton wool,
but wool cotton was originally made by Benjamin Franklin to give the
southern states an alternative to growing cotton and to hopefully lesson
their reliance on slave labor.

The idea never gained momentum however as the process required a "sheep
gin"
the damn sheep would then get so sloshed that they were too difficult to
manage in that condition.
