I would guess that the input on the microprocessor ic from the remote
receiver is soldered bridged to another leg of the IC.
Another possibility is the B+ is dropping on the IC with the remote
receiver in operation maybe due to a weak regulator.
Other than that either the remote receiver or microprocessor
Never come accross that problem before
