My dad used to have a large drum of highly concentrated phosphoric acid
which was used to clean the concrete off the back of his readymix truck. He
also swore by it as a loo descaler (*) and at it when he used to descale the
kettle. 3 rinses later tea made from water in the kettle burnt both his
mouth. Mother was not HP.

(*) Apart from the time he decided to make a super concoction of acid and
bleach. Bad mistake. Fortunately though it was in the garage so no real
harm was done. At least not to MY lungs .....
