If the fan (indoor blower) does not come on automatically in cooling
mode, and you can turn it on with the fan switch on the thermostat,
then you have a bad thermostat. If it were a bad thermostat cable or
bad relay or bad fan motor, that would not work. Get a new thermostat
installed. Have the tech do a checkup while he is there.
