That sounds just about right.

A 55watt lamp will take 55/6 amps, that's near enough 9 amps.

9 amps will discharge a (perfect) 4Ah battery in 4/9 hours, that's
26.6 minutes. Since you're discharging it at well over the 20 hour rate
I think your 20 minutes is pretty good.
