Well in the case of Taft maybe you could use oil derricks instead of
"trees".

When I was there 40 or 50 years ago they were all over the area.
Probably all gone now.

Ayup. A very few still standing. The wooden one at the Oil Museum came
down in a strong wind storm last year.
