I have a suggestion.

I too tried to get a question answered at alt.hvac and was dressed down
for not being a "pro".

OK fine.

If the "pros" want a place to hang out, fine....why not get another
groupd started called alt.hvac.pros.only.no.homeowners.allowed or
something like that and the "pros" can sit there and do whatever they
want to do.

While the rest of the world can use alt.hvac as it should be used to
help each other.
