Inductors as a load *is* sort of a non-sequiter. They don't
absorb energy, at least in the steady state.

Switching a large current into an inductor won't absorb any
energy, to start. The current flow is zero at the instant
the switch is thrown.

I'm also at a bit of a loss as to the application.
