Something is getting hot and burning. There could be numerous things,
wiring, plastic after 2 1/2 years I would guess. Most liquids or
spilled items would have dried up by now. You may want to have it
looked at to avoid a premature melt down of something. I work on
monitors and would advise you not to fiddle around inside unless you
know what you are doing.
