Plane Blades
Monday List on 17 January 2005 (sent today 3-1-05, by Jim)
I make custom, collector and user blades from industrial grade steel and
have them professionally heat treated. They have better grade steel and
are harder than the originals. You will not find a better blade for your
plane. This is a small operation and stock changes daily. Check the Monday
List for stock on hand and current pricing. Custom orders are usually filled
within thirty days.

Technical Specifications
I use industrial grade high carbon steel. It is processed as required and then sent
out for professional heat treatment. This process is performed in atmosphere
controlled ovens to prevent surface carbon burn off. It is superior to backyard
torching and provides product quality and consistency. After treating, blades are
fully sharpened using water wheels to prevent scorching. The resulting blades are
superior to original products in that they have higher grade steel and they are
harder. They will hold their edge longer than originals and will perform better.
Guarantee
I started making blades because I was a woodworker who was frustrated with the
lack of quality blades for my planes. Numerous user testimonials attest to the
quality of these products. Accordingly, all blades have a satisfaction guarantee.
If you are not happy, send them back for replacement or refund. Woodworking
should be fun. Enjoy your time in the shop making shavings!
