I have it fixed. I vacuumed out the venturi. Must have been a bit clogged
inside. Rather than disconnect it all, I had the ingenious idea of using a
straw taped onto the end of a vac pipe. worked a treat.

Excellent idea. I'll try it next time I need to.

I've just had this vision of a vacuum cleaner turning into a jet
engine, if you should happen to try this without switching the
gas off first ;-)
