Not Gunner, Cliff, but I use COMCAST for my high speed cable access.
The cost is about $42/month, and I chose it because I already had a
COMCAST cable TV feed attached to the house, plus because DSL tends
toward being a telco ripoff with various levels of service all at the
same price.

I've been on the COMCAST high speed internet connect for about a year
now and I've never been sorry about my choice...and have no thoughts
about switching to another service.

Initially I had some problem accessing the cable because the
installation CD COMCAST supplied to me would not play on my elderly
Pentium Pro 200 based computer, but their telephone support people (in
Canada) walked me through the entire software setup manually in about
1/2 hour. That was in January 2004, and the service has been flawless
since that time on a 24/7 basis.

Just as an aside, your choice of equipment is equally or more important
than your choice of high speed internet access supplier. In my case I
use a Linksys Cable Modem and a Linksys Router to support up to 4
computers in our home. When my youngest daughter utilizes TORRENT to
download movies, it slows access down a bit, but we have come to an
arrangement as to just when this can be done (12:00pm to 6:00am).

Today my oldest daughter visited with her new wireless DELL laptop, and
it immediately latched on to our wireless router...

If you can justify the price tag, high speed internet access by cable
is, so far a I am concerned, the only route to take.
