Two questions:

1: Is the length of the RJ11 line impacting connection speed?

17 feet / 52800 feet (assuming 10 miles to phone co) equates to 0.032% of
the total phone line. Probably not much of a factor


2: Would taking a real line cord from the old block into the other
bedroom speed up his connection?
