I have a Panasonic FS100 SVHS Video recorder, with a problem. Programs
recorded in SVHS don't play well, while VHS is ok. I've heard of a chip

That's an old one! I have got an FS200 at home which is the model which
came after it.

Please describe what you mean by "don't play well"
