In case it helps, I recently got these prices (ex VAT, flue & fixing
kit)...
Glowworm 30sxi £610
W-B 28HE £640
Glow-worm 30 sxi £531.06 (ex VAT, but including flue & fixing jig)
W-B 28HE £479.94 (again, ex VAT but including flue & fixing jig - if this
particular boiler uses one)
Are these any good?

I hadn't clocked how very much cheaper the more mnodest (but very
adequate) unit are. The combi series Ecomax 8xx is still very expensive
being over £1000 at trade prices.
Have these prices just been revised? (in anticipation of April no doubt?)
I first noticed them a few weeks back, don't know how long they've been
that way since I hadn't seen that site before. Can't imagine anyone will
bring prices down in advance of April, though I'd hope eventually
they'll settle down to something like current non-condensing prices when
there's nothing much else around and the big builders are buying them by
the truckload. After all combis don't cost much more than heating-only &
system prices even though they've got lots more inside, presumably due
to volume of sales to the house-builders, so the same _should_ happen
with condis too, shouldn't it? Discuss ..... :-)
