It looks like (in retrospect) that the similarities in posting style were
actually recognised by a human rather than a machine.

Reading the thread, the posting styles are, indeed, exceptionally similar.
The belief in some sort of magic fuel additive is so similar to the belief
in the fairy powered electronic water conditioners that it is quite
striking.
