I have never found all of that stuff in one place.

The best publication that I have found in terms of how to do the
technical design, such as heatloss calculation, radiator sizing, pipe
sizing, pump choice, expansion vessel etc. is the Domestic Heating
Design Guide published by the Heating and Ventilating Contractors
Association (HVCA) at about £20. You can order from their web site.
Several people here have bought it and found it useful.

It does not cover radiator siting but does discuss the issues, and it
doesn't cover how to do plumbing and wiring - DIY books for that.
Nominally it is intended for professional use, although my feeling is
that it is good for DIY purposes too since you wouldn't tackle a full
heating system if you didn't know how to plumb. If you followed the
principles you wouldn't go far wrong.

In terms of the practical details, there is a lot on manufacturer's
web sites. One of my product purchase criteria has been how good and
accessible their technical information is.
