Hi,

I have a situation where we wish to move a downstairs bathroom
upstairs. Not unusual, except the cold water tank is downstairs in the
garage, and there is no attic space.

So presumably we'd have to pump both hot and cold water upstaris.

Is this feasible? What alternatives are there? What is a system like
that called and where can i read about it?

Thanks!
Dan

===================
The best alternative would be to change to a system which requires no
storage tanks - i.e. supplied directly from the main. There are several
possible variations described here quite frequently. Most require adequate
mains pressure to work but that shouldn't be a problem in most areas. By way
of example, my system consists of a 'multipoint water heater' fed directly
from the main and a completely separate CH system. This works for me because
I like the security of knowing that both systems are unlikely to break down
at the same time.

Others will no doubt give details of more sophisticated systems requiring no
storage.
