Did you replace the capacitor or the motor?

Get a book from the library on major appliance repair. Also, have someone
standing by who knows first aid.

i replaced both the motor and capacitor. also noticed one of the belt pully's hard to turn so tried second motor without belt only after trying it with belt first and it hummed for a little while maybe 5 seconds.would this burn out the starter winding in new motor that fast? thanks mike
