| the washer stopped spinning so i removed the belt and tried it again and
| motor would not spin so i helped it along by turning the pully and it
| ran so i figured it was the capacitor bought a new one that had a
| different mfd reading.the original was 233-280 mfd 110vac and the new
| one is 233-292mfd 110/125 they told me it would work it did the same as
| the other motor still would not spin.so i ordered another one that took
| a week to get, this is a 3 year old machine.put new motor in without
| belt and still would not spin without help?could it just be another bad
| capacitor?there is 110 volts going to the capacitor.is there an easy way
| to check capacitor?and what is the MFD readings stand for? thanks mike

Did you replace the capacitor or the motor?

Get a book from the library on major appliance repair. Also, have someone
standing by who knows first aid.
