They finally figured out that one of the biggest predictors
of a wreck is a station wagon with 12 teenagers in it, driven
by somebody who just yesterday got their license!


My kids know I'm only half joking when I tell them the effective IQ of a
teenager driving his friends around is equal to his actual IQ divided by
the number of kids in the car. My youngest is at an age where his
friends are just beginning to get their licenses. He's prohibited, under
penalty of being grounded til he's 25, from riding with anyone who
hasn't had their license for a year.
