Generally I find that lemon juice will remove staining on my hands from
the wood. It also will remove the staining from where your hands come
in contact with the tools... there is sometimes an interaction with the
tannin in the wood and the steel.

problem I have is AFTER turning, hands pick up the color, get stained
all brown. Only stuff I've found to remove this is bleach or oxyclean,
both hard on the skin. Any suggestions out there?
