Personally, I would consider using a fan convector under a kitchen unit.
Uses otherwise wasted space and will heat the entire room on its own.

Yes, and they are reasonably quite, but not silent.

I have wll mounted ines up stairs here, and they don't wake me up.

They do resnate in wodden walls though a bit...
