open it up, get a can of Component cooler, wait for it to shut down and
then spray the areas that generate heat to see if you can keep it on.
if so then you have found a bad semi.. etc.
also its a good chance you have a thermo solder joint problem.
look around with your magi glass....


Also look for the Xray protect pot, mark where it is set and crank it up all
the way to make it less sensitive, if the set now will stay running, then
you have either excessive HV or an overly twitchy protection circuit.
Electrolytic capacitors are a suspect either way.
