To answer my own question! Poolewood have updated their Website with some explanation. It seems that they are in some form of dispute with the company which actually fabricated the lathes. The Website shows an updated version of the lathe which is said to be still in development.
In the meantime, Tom Gilks is advertising Silverline Lathes which are said to be the DVSL!
