The sets diagnostic monitor is detecting a serious anomaly and shutting down
to avoid all that expensive blue smoke coming from within expensive silicon
parts.
Its not a DIY job- I would get an experienced TV guy to look at it-
You probably have a component failure in the Line/high voltage area.

My friend has a 32" TV that is acting up. The timer light starts to blink
and the TV shuts off. He has not set the timer and the manual says to

call
a repair shop when this happens...He has to unplug the TV and reconnect in
order to get it working again..

Any ideas?

Thanks
