It says that you can replace a damaged cable.

Theoretically, all the cable segments
in a ring could be damaged, but
it's a bit unlikely, isn;t it?


If one is down then the lot gets replaced.


Perhaps you are the reason why this legislation has been introduced.
I would recommend that you follow the guidelines.

By the way... hacksaws aren't much good for stripping electrical cable
either.
