One more thing, when the screen blanks, no HV. Or is that a side effect of
the blanking? On a black screen, ie. video input, if I turn up the screen
control, I get red retrace lines that bow into the middle.

Time to look at each signal on the scope and see what sort of IK pulse is
present. Perhaps I'm losing it somewhere...

Yup, me again!

I got the set so it will come on however if I put a signal to it, the
picture blanks out. The color is good and when I have no signal present,
the crt cathode voltages are 140 red, 130 green, 140 blue. I put a scope

on
the IK signal and it seems to be around 2vp-p with the static screen.

When
I hook the cable up to the tuner, the scope jumps about twice the size and
then blanks out.

Is my CRT shot or do I keep looking? How can I determine what is blanking
the CRT? Disconnect the IK signal from the CXA2025? Then if it still
blanks, look for something else?

The picture control is set up all the way on the menu. I don't have the
original remote and the universal one I have will not allow me to select

the
menu item. I can change the menu item however cannot select it.

Figured there was a reason it was on the curb... Just makes me think that
if the flyback was bad, destroyed the HOT and power supply, it must have
been working ok before then.

Where should I be looking for the signal that triggers the standby led to
flash constantly at startup. Is that due to the system waiting for the
cathodes to heat up? It flashes about 3-5 times and then the picture

comes
on. While the led is flashing, there is no IK signal.
