If the breaker for a clothes dryer all of a sudden starts tripping would
this likely indicate a problem with the dryer? This appliance is about 15
years old.

Thanks.

Hi,

When is the breaker tripping? After running a while, 2nd or 3rd load,
right away as soon as you turn on the dryer?

Not written in stone, but often a breaker that trips right away when
the dryer is turned on is a dryer problem....a breaker that trips
after the dryer has been running a bit/while is more of an breaker
problem than a dryer problem.

Even a loose/burnt connection between the dryer and breaker can trip
the breaker off.

This appliance is about 15
years old.

When was the last time the exhaust venting was cleaned out....or the
inside of the dryer vacuumed out?
