om...
Saw an expisode of "Weekend Remodeling" on DIY the other day. They
used brick veneer to five a plain wall a great look without actually
building a real brick wall.

I've been trying to get an idea of what is available (colors, sizes,
etc.) without going to a "dealer"... I'd much rather look on the net
and get some info on my own before going to the store.

Any one know any good web sites for brick veneer?

Thanks,
-Jay

I can't help you with what you are seeking other than to correct your
terminology so that you can search for or ask the right questions. The term
"brick veneer" refers to a full sized brick that is applied in front of a
framed wall as opposed to "solid brick construction" which refers to a solid
masonry wall which is usually 2 courses of full sized bricks laid back to
back. From your post I infer that you are looking for real of fake brick
slices that are no more than 1/2" thick. I think the term you may want to
use is "faux brick" or maybe "faux brick veneer". This post is not meant to
embarrass; only to help.

Thank you Colbyt. Not finding any successful hits on google I was
wondering if I missed something regarding terminology in the episode.
Thanks again!
