They are the ones giving the massive tax breaks that make ethanol for
fuel production possible, as it certainly isn't price competitive even
with oil where it's at now.
Ethanol is a good way to raise octane without a lot of weird chemicals


If you work at the plant, can you smuggle out a pint or two a day?

Very probably. You want to dry out your car's gas lines?
