I wonder if winter (Nov, Dec) is a good month to install hardwood
floor.

My concern is that the winter will be dry, and the wood will be
shrunken because of dryness. So, if I nailed all the floors together
during the winter, maybe I did not leave enough room for the floor to
expand in the summer. As a result, the floor will be cupping.

You should be doing a better job at controlling the humidity
in your house. Use a humidifier in the winter to bring it up
to 40% or so humidity, and use a dehumidifier in the summer to
keep the humidity below 50%. Your personal possessions, furniture,
house, and body will like you much better when you do this.

After you get humidity under control, simply let the wood adjust
to the house for a week or so, and then you should be good to go.
