Warn or defective parts usually do not show any visible clue to being
defective, unless there was a direct short of some type where there
was a lot of current involved. Proper troubleshooting has to be
performed, in order to locate the defective parts, and then they must
be chaged. It is very important to verify the cause of the failure, or
if not, sometimes the new parts may be damaged after the power is
turned back on again.

Does anyone know of a common fault with the Matsui 28wn where there
is a standby light but will not power up. It makes several sounds
(rumbles) through the speakers when an attempt to switch on is made
but then returns to standby. I cannot see any obvious blown caps or
DJ's and really don't want to do a blanket change of the power supply
components as i'm not sure this is the root of the problem. Any help
would be most appreciated.
