h I'm having problems with a 10-year-old Rheem Centurion forced-air
h furnace. The unit uses natural gas and is rated at 100K BTU.
what you have there is a classic sign of a cracked heat exchanger. you need
to shut this unit down and have it checked by the hvac company you normally
use. immediately!!

I second the ;hole in the heat exchanger theory. There is no cheap
fix and a new furnace is probably in order. Don't fool around with
this, it can get dangerous.
