I think they are safer than TS, when used properly, and much more
versatile.

Yup they sure are.

But don't be tempted by the shaper head.

Unless you have purchased a copy of the Mr. Sawdust book "How To Master The
Radial Saw" http://mrsawdust.com/ , and the Delta shaper head system is
much better than the Craftsman system.
